Nikon 85mm f/1.4

This is also a prime lens, probably one of the better in the market right now for wedding photography. Although it is a bit more pricy (,180 CAD), the amount of detail and sharpness you get from this lens is unimaginable.

Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8

This is a telephoto (zoom) lens that could be your only purchase of zoom lenses. Not only does it produce sharp photos, but you can get up in front of your subject as close as 200mm. At 1.6x crop, your focal length is about 320mm. Imagine that, the only telephoto lens you will ever need. A nifty lens like the 70-200mm comes with a nifty price tag too. You can purchase this lens for about ,800 CAD.

Those are just a few of the portrait lenses you should have for taking wedding photographs. I would recommend sticking with Nikon branded lenses if you have a Nikon body.
